Are Tarot Readings Accurate
Learning Tarot is one of the most sought after skills on the internet and there are many avenues open to the prospective student. One method that is very popular involves working your way through your Tarot deck a card at a time and spend a period of time with each. Write down what you think the meaning of the tarot card is but not what you expect it to be. If you get a feeling about the card then this will stand you in good stead so write it down.

Once you have passed through each card then get out a good Tarot guidebook (you should have one if you have purchased a good tarot deck of cards). I would also recommend buying or borrowing a second tarot guide book that is different from the first. Next work your way through the Tarot deck again using the guidebook as a reference and source. After looking carefully at the picture on the card look at the guidebook entry for that card. Write down the sentences that stand out for you. Next look for a key word or two within each sentence you copy down. This latter step will help the meaning of each card stay in your memory and act as a focus for recall of the card when reading live.

The next step is to compare similar cards from Wands, Pentacles, Swords and Cups the four Tarot Suits. Look for what each suit card has in common and then where the main differences are. Do this for the Major and Minor Arcana writing down the similarities and differences for each card group.

Finally read about the Major and Minor Arcana and understand the meanings of each group. Find out what each suit and grouping symbolises and why they are in a particular order. Try and understand the underlying theme behind each suit. Write this down and you should now have a comprehensive summary of card meaning sand their role individually and the suit they are in.

When doing a live reading you must not refer to the guidebook at all but concentrate on the imagery of drawn cards and the spread you are using. You must then look to relate the cards to the situation at hand, namely the problem the client is bringing to you. Use your intuition to focus on most important and applicable aspects of the situation and problem.
