Info on the Web For Hexbugs and Hexbug Habitats
Toys based on educational aspects, such as science, can be not only fun but a method of learning as well. When an educational toy is so fun that the person playing with it doesn't even think about or notice that he or she is learning something while playing, that is even more remarkable. One such toy is the hexbug.

Hexbugs act like real insects but are actually micro robots that have a response to various things such as sounds like a hand clap, a change in light or a touch such as bumping into something which then makes it change directions. All different ages of people enjoy collecting multiple hexbugs and putting together homes for their hexbugs, which are called habitats for them. It can be quite enjoyable to put them loose in their habitat and watch them scurry about in a variety of directions, mimicking real bugs. They're also educational but children and people of other ages having all that fun may not even realize they are learning something while playing with these interesting scientific toys.
