Then there’s this groundbreaking Austrian study, where researchers concluded that “the benefit of taking DHA is roughly equivalent to having the learning and memory skills of someone three years younger.” The 485 subjects included healthy men and women with age-related cognitive decline, split into two groups. For six months, one group took 900 mg of DHA from algae every day,while the other group took placebo. And on learning and memory tests, the people in the DHA group saw a drop in errors nearly double that of the placebo group.
